Angry Birds for the Nintendo 3DS will be a digital download on 3DSWare, Rovio Mobile has confirmed.

Following confirmation of an Angry Birds game for Wii and 3DS earlier on this year, 3DSFocus asked Rovio whether the title would be a distributed physically or digitally. Here is the conversation:

RovioMobile @3dsfocus we prefer downloads and digital distribution on all platforms, it's green like the pigs;-)

This at least confirms that the price will be comparably low to mobile versions of the game. We'll bring you more news as we get it.
