AR (Augmented Reality) Games are 3D experiences initiated by looking at special cards through the Nintendo 3DS' dual cameras, and Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime is excited about their potential. He told GameTrailers:


"We think this is one of the sleeper, killer applications for the device that really highlights what you can do with 3D technology."

Fils-Aime confirmed that Nintendo will show more AR Games as the 3DS' launch gets closer and, questioned as to whther Mario or other Nintendo characters will make an appearance in these games, the NoA president simply said replied 'We're not ruling it out'.

Six AR games will be bundled with the 3DS when it launches in the US on March 27.
