These are the first ever screenshots of Super Mario 3D for the Nintendo 3DS, in which Satoru Iwata confirmed went ahead after Nintendo had conquered the challenge of jumping to hit question blocks in a 3D space.

Look closely and bottom left-hand image, and we can see what appears to be a 'small' Mario bhing chased by a Goomba.
